Victoria’s Legal Services Commissioner is responsible for the receipt, investigation and resolution of complaints about lawyers, which includes the settlement of disputes between lawyers and their clients.
Neither an advocate for consumers nor lawyers, the Commissioner works with both groups to improve standards and increase awareness of lawyers’ obligations to their clients.
